Since I’m recovering from my trip to Marrakech, I had some time to listen to my two newest albums I just bought:
- Opeth – Watershed
- Porcupine Tree – Lightbulb Sun (Remastered Edition)
Both are absolutely fabulous masterpieces. And then I found this on YouTube:
FYI: Steven Wilson is the mastermind behind Porcupine Tree, whereas Mikael Åkerfeldt is the lead guitarist/vocalist/songwriter of Opeth.
By the way, when they are asked the question about who played drums on Script for a Jester’s Tear, Wilson answers correctly but says that he loved that album when he was 13 years old. This is impossible, since he was born in 1967 and the album was recorded in 1982/83 and released in 1983. Ha Steven, who’s owning now?! 😉
Hej!
I have just bought Genesis „Nursery Crime“ on vinyl last week along with „Tresspass“ and Pink Floyds „Wish you were here“ (for just 1,- €!) I will check this if Phil Collins is really singing uncredited.
(Basti walks off to his Vinyl-Treasurechest…)
OK, there is nothing written on the cover and the inner sleeve is completely blank. Absolutely no credits on this record. Only for the producer John Anthony. Well, I think I’ll have to listen to the record. Check this comments again for the results 😉
Hej!
Here I am again. Well, I have listenied to „For Absent Friends“ on „Nursery Crime“. And I tell you: it is not easy to find out wether Phil Collins is singing or not. His voice is pretty similar to Peter Gabriel his voice. They could be singing both during a chorus, but thats ambigous. And we still don’t know if it is the first time Collins sings. There are 2 earlier Albums: „Tresspass“ which I havent heard and „From Genesis to Revelation“ which I don’t own. I think its up to you, dear reader, to find out 🙂 Have fun!
